Mr. Lund is the owner and founder of S&L Hospitality and is responsible for all aspects of the company’s growth through development, operations, sales and marketing. Prior to forming S&L Hospitality, Mr. Lund was the Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing and a founding member of Great Wolf Resorts – currently the largest owner, operator and developer of waterpark resorts in North America.
Ms. Lund has extensive industry experience specializing in human resources, administration, and project management and is responsible for supporting new business and development projects. In her role she also oversees retail operations through developing vendor relationships, purchasing, merchandising and inventory management. Prior to the formation of S&L Hospitality, Ms. Lund was a Project Executive with IBM Corporation.
Ms. Cirves has more than five years of marketing experience in events and venues and is responsible for marketing efforts at S&L Hospitality’s properties. Prior to her position at S&L Hospitality she was the Director of Digital Media and Outreach at a local event company.
Mr. Egan has over 10 years of accounting experience and nearly 15 years of hospitality experience. In his role he is responsible for general ledger reconciliation, financial statement preparation and cash management. Prior to joining S&L Hospitality, he was the accounting manager with Birwood. Mr. Egan has his CPA license and is an active member in the WICPA.
Ms. Engelman leads the strategic sales efforts for S&L Hospitality. She plays an integrated role in working with the hotel sales personnel to develop new opportunities and marketing initiatives to attract new business. Ms. Engelman has more than 19 years of hospitality experience with S&L Hospitality and its predecessor Great Wolf Resorts.
Ms. Graf has brought over ten years of customer service and administration expertise to S&L Hospitality. Ms. Graf brings the “can do” attitude with special attention to customer service and accounting. Ms. Graf has served as a Leasing Agent and a Medical Administrator at UW Medical Foundation.
With over seven years of experience in the hospitality industry, Mrs. Harris focuses on revenue management through reservations and yield management. In her role at S&L Hospitality, she assists the various properties with the implementation and execution of revenue strategies. Working collaboratively with the General Managers, Directors of Sales, and Marketing Teams, she identifies areas of opportunity for new and improved revenue streams. Prior to her position with S&L Hospitality, she was the Reservations Manager at the Grand Harbor Resort & Waterpark in Dubuque, IA. During that time she lead a team of dynamic reservation agents, handled daily operations for the department and optimized the leisure revenue of the resort.
Ms. Johnson provides Human Resources and Benefits support for all S&L Hospitality employees. Ms. Johnson has more than 17 years of experience in the hospitality industry in various operations and management positions with S&L Hospitality and its predecessor Great Wolf Resorts.
Mr. LaVoy has more than 24 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including 18 years of Marketing and Creative experience with S&L Hospitality and its predecessor Great Wolf Resorts, where he was responsible for overseeing creative for 12 multi-million dollar resorts, as well as 12 franchise hotels.
Mr. Lund has more than five years of experience having worked at S&L Hospitality with various roles in finance, operations and project management. After completion of his college graduation with a degree in Business and Project Management from the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh, David has joined S&L full-time overseeing new development projects. Mr. Lund played four years of college baseball while maintaining a 3.5 GPA.
Mrs. Ruppenthal has lead the public relations efforts for upwards of 20 waterparks and 30 resort and hotels throughout North America. More than two decades of experience in both agency and corporate settings has allowed her to carve out a specialty niche in the service and hospitality industries, with unrivaled experience in the indoor waterpark resort and hospitality industry.
Ms. Sackmann has over 20 years of accounting experience and 10 years of hospitality experience. In her role she is responsible for general ledger reconciliation and financial statement preparation. Prior to joining S&L Hospitality, Wendy was the Assistant Payroll Manager at the Wilderness Resort in the Wisconsin Dells, where she was named employee of the year in 2010.
Mr. Slonim brings over 30 years of Information Technology (IT) and 25 of Customer Experience (CX). His focus has been on IT that improves the guest experience and maximizes staff productivity while exceeding security standards. Prior to joining S&L, Mr. Slonim worked on CX projects for Ally Financial (Bank, Auto, Invest).
Mrs. Spilde has 20 years of experience in the Madison market as a purchasing professional in consumer services and hospitality. Ms. Spilde is responsible for OS&E and FF&E purchases for all S&L properties, maintains and services vendor partnerships, and negotiates pricing. Carrie maintains close communication between property operating departments for purchasing activities, storage and distribution bringing proper control over expenditures and streamlining the overall purchasing and distribution processes.
Mr. Tiedt’s has more than 35 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including 19 years with S&L Hospitality and its predecessor Great Wolf Resorts. His responsibilities include the successful operations and profitability for multiple hotels under the Intercontinental Hotels Group and Choice Hotels International franchises. Mr. Tiedt has also held the position of General Manager and has successfully opened multiple new hotels.
