Development
The S&L Development team has an extensive history of designing, constructing, and opening hotels, large indoor waterpark resorts, spas, and conference centers. With the appropriate design team, S&L will design & construct to the specification of the owners request, keeping in mind, safety, quality, budget, and efficiency of the resort. Our team will also work closely with the operations team to successfully coordinate & purchase all Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FF&E) products.
Purchasing
The services provided by the purchasing department will include all pre-opening purchasing of all FF&E, and all operational supplies required. With over 30 years of experience in the industry, we have established excellent vender relationships to ensure the best quality of all products and pricing available and continue to negotiate as our company grows. A complete spec book with vender contact information and samples of goods will be provided.
Operations
The operations team will assist in all facets of the project, from planning, development, and opening to the day-to-day operations of the operating project. We have been involved in a broad range of projects from waterpark resorts to limited service hotels. We work with all departments to ensure all projects are completed timely and on budget, while maintaining focus on our ultimate goal - ensuring all guests having a great experience. Hotels have several different integral functions which make them run efficiently and it is the operations team responsibility to get them to work together. Our goal is to make our people at the properties be successful which in turn makes the owners successful.
Accounting
The Accounting Department will be responsible for completing hotel monthly financial statements, managing the accounts payable cycle, preparing sales and occupancy tax returns, making budget comparisons, monitoring the hotel's accounts receivable, and handling the property's cash management. Our team will work closely with the hotel to ensure that internal controls are in place on site, and prepare complete reports as requested by the hotel owner.
Human Resources
The Human Resources Department assists our properties with multiple functions, including the payroll processing and benefits administration for all employees. We assist the properties with hiring and employee relations, and we are available as a general sounding board for any issues that the property managers or supervisors may have. The department also handles the company's risk management, which includes worker's compensation and our property and liability insurance.
Sales, Marketing, Public Relations
The Marketing Department is involved in the sales, advertising, public relations, e-commerce, and promotional efforts of our properties. Our team will evaluate the market and the project goals to develop a strategic and effective sales and marketing plan. We will work hand-in-hand with the hotel sales and marketing department and area tourism and business resources to conduct and analyze market research, determine positioning, develop a plan, execute tactics, measure the results, and continually access the market.
